Dr. Marilyn Karam is a distinguished Consultant Allergist and Clinical Immunologist, certified by the American Board in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, as well as Internal Medicine (IM). With a commitment to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, she has earned a reputation for excellence in her field.
Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Sciences degree and Doctor of Medicine from the esteemed American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. Following her residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Ann Arbor -Michigan, USA, she pursued specialized training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Karam's passion for education is evident in her roles as the IM Clerkship Coordinator at AUB and director of Allergy Immunology electives and courses. She plays a vital role in shaping the future generation of healthcare professionals through her dedication to teaching and mentorship.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Karam has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles, reflecting her commitment to advancing medical science and improving patient care. Her strategic planning skills and focus on quality improvement initiatives were demonstrated during her tenure as the Medical Director of IM Specialty Clinics at AUB and Outpatient Quality Improvement Director from 2017 to 2021.
